About me

So, for the usual details...

Now, on to the rest

Challenging myself

Leadership style

This is the part of my website where I’m supposed to WOW you with all of my credentials and experience. While I’m happy to provide an abbreviated overview of these below, I think it’s more valuable to share some insight into who I REALLY am, above and beyond what you can find on my resume or LinkedIn profile.

I’ve held leadership roles in a Fortune 500 (SAP) and a smaller tech company, worked as a consultant, and launched and lead a successful nonprofit (Ride Hard Breathe Easy).

My passion for communication, marketing, and storytelling inspired me to earn a second master’s degree in communications (I also have an MBA). In fact, I so believe in the power of communication and public speaking that I have been an adjunct instructor at Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication since 2021!

My nonprofit…was inspired by my mother’s battle with lung cancer. I promised her I would somehow make a difference – and so Ride Hard Breathe Easy exists to support lung cancer patients and their families by providing financial support when they most need it. We partner with 8 nationally acclaimed medical institutions (link). They decide the patients who need support, and so far, we have helped over 2,000 patients and their families.

I’ve run marathons on 3 continents – and hope to be able to claim 5 in due time. Each marathon represents the culmination of months of strategy and disciplined execution. And I have ridden my bike across the US (3,553 miles) to start Ride Hard Breathe Easy, and each year I do a multi-day ride to challenge myself and raise money for lung cancer patients.

Leadership style: I pride myself on being a servant-leader. That term has been bandied about and overused, I acknowledge. Nonetheless, it is how I have always viewed my leadership roles…to understand how I can best support my team to be successful, to grow, and to deliver excellence. This same perspective carries over here.  When we work together, my only goal is to get you from where you are to where you want to be — no ego, no predesigned models you must fit within, and no ulterior motives.
